Jul 04, Georgiana rated it did not like it Shelves: Un po' paranormale, un po' pervertito LizzyGee: Entusiastica , nel caso qualcuno ne dubitasse. Io la ammiro, e non scherzo. E specifico che non sono arrivata in fondo alle disastrose pagine di quest'opera, tanta era la ripugnanza che mi ha ispirato. Non me l'avevi detto!
Chissenefrega, i dettagli c'erano comunque in abbondanza! Prom and prejudice l'avevo trovato pessimo: Potete trovare la recensione completa QUI View all 3 comments.
Dec 10, Danielle Book Boss rated it it was ok Shelves: It would have been 3 stars if a few things didn't happen: Elizabeth and Darcy in this book did not reflect anything whatsoever the Elizabeth and Darcy in the original. Sure she was smart and he was rich but he was like a social butterfly and she was a giggling idiot who liked to shop.
There were odd sexual encounters that did not fit the tone of the book. It was just weird. I've read sweet romance before that had sex. This part especially wasn't written well. The "tension" poi 2. The "tension" point in this book was so pointless and contrived. Her roommates were mad because their partying got Elizabeth and the partiers kicked out.
The Never Ending Story: Pride and Prejudice | A Cup of Cocoa and A Chinwag
So they decide to spread rumors around about her? What was the point? And Elizabeth making assumption after assumption about Darcy's feelings Who has money for that? Not the Bennetts that I know. For Elizabeth to be a modern American woman, she sure spoke like high born British woman. Saying things like "We had quite a good time" Um no. I don't know anyone who has ever said that. It's we have a really good time or very good. Every time that happened it threw me out of the story.
Elizabeth referring to the loo or the lift. She's only been in England for a year and already fully indoctrinated? I don't think so. It was short, could have been sweet, there were a few typos and it still get's 2. May 10, Lynne Robson rated it it was amazing. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. From page one I could not put it down. I had bought it to go on holiday with me, but it seem to call to me so I took it to work and read it in my dinner hour. I love the characters of Lizzy and William and felt so sorry for William when she left to go back to the states. I was so happy when she returned I think that I had tears running down my face as my work mate said 'It must be a good book as no one has been able to get you to put it down and you I have just finished reading this lovely book.

Congratulations, Aimee, on publishing the book! I loved the story and your funky cover looked great! Loved everything about it!! Loved it from beginning to end. The visions were just enough to make it interesting, but not corny. I like that this modern was set in England , as so many are set in the states! Feb 09, Patricia rated it liked it. I really enjoyed this book. Being a sucker when it comes to anything written with a reference to Pride and Prejudice I had to read it. But I have to admit that I may not have been interested otherwise.
It was a very quick read and the references to Pride and Prejudice were not always blatant except for the names of the characters and some of their personalities. The heroine, Lizzie was somewhat annoying, and though described as intelligent she I really enjoyed this book.
The heroine, Lizzie was somewhat annoying, and though described as intelligent she was rather blind and nothing like her namesake Elizabeth Bennet.
A Little Bit Psychic: Pride & Prejudice with a Modern Twist
She had such low self esteem and was not clever or confident. I could barely understand William Darcy's attraction to her. Despite this I enjoyed this light, quick read. My favorite character was Georgians Darcy who is a much stronger and likeable character than Elizabeth. Also I enjoyed the references to Lizzie's mother Fanny and Lydia who were very much modern counterparts to their original characters. Jan 03, Melissa rated it really liked it. It was a small quick read of about pages. These stories place Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy in the present-day.
I have never been inclined to read these stories, but the following come recommended:. A Little Bit Psychic: The alternative point-of-view novels focus on the lives of other characters, such as Mr. The three books listed below follow Mr. This differs from the original novel which focusses mainly on Elizabeth and what happens around her.
